About This Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how 4 Legacy Construction LLC (“4 Legacy Construction,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, and how you can manage them.
Many website cookie policies describe several categories of tracking. This policy is different: after reviewing the site's actual technical behavior, the honest summary is that this website does not currently use cookies for tracking. The sections below explain what that means in practice, what the site does instead, and what would change if our approach ever evolves. It complements our Privacy Policy, which covers personal information more broadly.
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files that a website can ask your browser to store. They are commonly used to remember preferences, keep visitors signed in, measure how a site is used, or support advertising. Cookies can be set by the website you are visiting (“first-party” cookies) or by other services whose code runs on that page (“third-party” cookies).
Cookies are often described by how long they last. “Session” cookies are designed to disappear when you close your browser, while “persistent” cookies can remain on your device for a defined period so a site can recognize your browser on a later visit. They are also often grouped by purpose — for example: strictly necessary cookies required for a site to function; preference cookies that remember choices; analytics cookies that measure usage; and advertising cookies that support marketing or retargeting. Understanding these categories makes it easier to follow which ones a given website uses, and this policy is organized around the same distinctions.
Browsers also offer other storage mechanisms — such as localStorage and sessionStorage — that websites can use for similar purposes, even though they are not technically cookies. This policy addresses those as well, because the privacy considerations are closely related.
Our Current Approach to Cookies
This website is built to operate without cookies. Two functional areas — the contact form and the estimate request form — work using temporary, in-memory browser state that disappears when the page is refreshed or closed. No cookie, and no persistent browser storage, is required for any feature of the site.
That approach is deliberate. A website that does not track visitors has fewer moving parts to maintain, loads without waiting on third-party scripts, and avoids collecting behavioral data that would need to be carefully governed. The functional result is a browsing experience with no tracking-related pop-ups, because there is nothing to opt out of.
Because the site currently sets no cookies and uses no non-essential tracking, you will not see a cookie consent banner on this website. A banner would serve no purpose on a site that does not load the technologies such banners are designed to control. If that ever changes, the banner and this policy will change with it — see Section 9.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies Used by This Website
First-party cookies: none. The website does not set cookies of its own for analytics, preferences, personalization, or any other purpose.
Third-party cookies: none. The website does not embed third-party services that place cookies in your browser, and no third-party code on this site tracks you across other websites.
Tracking pixels and advertising identifiers: none. The website contains no advertising pixels, no retargeting tags, and no cross-site advertising identifiers.
Strictly necessary cookies: there are none to list, because the site's features do not rely on cookies at all. Hosting and security infrastructure — described in Section 8 — delivers and protects the site through standard technical request handling rather than through cookies placed in your browser.
Browser Storage
The website does not use localStorage or sessionStorage. In particular, the multi-step estimate request form does not save your progress to your device: the information you have entered lives in the page's temporary memory while you work, and it is not written to any browser storage. Refreshing the page or closing the tab clears the form.
If you select project photos in the estimate form, the images are previewed using temporary, browser-generated object addresses that exist only in the page's memory. They are released when you remove a photo, refresh the page, or leave the site, and they are not stored on your device or on our servers by this website. Email remains the recommended way to send photos to us.
Analytics Technologies
This website does not currently use website analytics tools — including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or similar third-party or first-party analytics services. No usage statistics are collected through tracking technologies, and no analytics cookies are placed in your browser.
If analytics are introduced in the future, this section and the Privacy Policy will be updated to identify the specific tool and its purpose, and any consent requirements that apply will be implemented before the technology is activated.
Advertising and Marketing Technologies
This website does not use advertising or marketing technologies. There are no advertising cookies, no social media pixels (such as a Meta pixel), no retargeting tags, and no audience-building or cross-context behavioral advertising identifiers on this site. No data collected through this website is used to build advertising profiles.
Third-Party Technologies and Embedded Content
The website does not embed third-party content such as maps, videos, social media feeds, chat widgets, or scheduling tools, and it does not load scripts from third-party analytics or marketing providers. The typography used by the website is served from the site itself rather than from an external font service.
As with any hosted website, the infrastructure that delivers this site — its hosting and content delivery provider — processes standard technical request data such as IP addresses, requested pages, and timestamps in order to serve pages, cache content, and protect the site from abuse. This processing is inherent to operating a website and is described in the Privacy Policy; it does not involve cookies being placed in your browser by this website's own code.
If This Approach Changes
Websites evolve. If 4 Legacy Construction introduces cookies or similar technologies in the future — for example, to measure how visitors use the site or to support advertising — we will update this Cookie Policy before those technologies are activated, describe each technology and its purpose and duration, and implement an appropriate consent mechanism where required by applicable law.
The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will always identify the current version of this policy.
Managing Cookies and Browser Controls
Even though this website does not set cookies, you can always control cookies and browser storage through your browser's settings. Common options include blocking third-party cookies, clearing stored data when you close the browser, and deleting existing cookies. Most desktop browsers organize these controls under a “Privacy,” “Security,” or “Site Data” section of their settings, and mobile browsers such as Safari, Chrome, and Firefox offer equivalent controls in their app or system settings.
Many browsers also offer a private or incognito mode, which discards cookies and browsing history when the session ends — useful if you prefer that the sites you visit leave no local data behind. Browser extensions and built-in tracking-protection features can similarly limit which parties are allowed to store information while you browse.
Because this website does not rely on cookies or browser storage for any feature, adjusting these settings — or clearing cookies at any time — will not affect how the site works for you.
Do Not Track and Browser Privacy Signals
Because this website does not track visitors across third-party websites, there is no cross-site tracking for “Do Not Track” or similar privacy signals to disable here, and the site's behavior naturally aligns with those preferences.
Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the website's technology or in applicable requirements. Updated versions will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date, and the version published here is the version in effect.
